CSA Symposium:: Announcement

•  Announcement of sixth International Triennial Calcutta Symposium    Following the footsteps of previous five triennial symposia Calcutta Statistical Association jointly with the Department of Statistics, Calcutta University is organizing the sixth International Triennial Calcutta Symposium on Probability and Statistics during December 29 - December 31, 2006 in the department of statistics, Calcutta University, Kolkata, India. Both invited and contributory sessions are planned. The symposium is not focused to any specific area of statistics. Papers in theoretical statistics and probability as well its applications to other fields are welcome. The objective of the symposium is to provide the researchers working in the fields of statistics, probability and its applications a forum to exchange ideas, facilitate discussions and share views among themselves. A special session on Design of Experiments and Combinatorics will be organized in the memory of Late Prof. R. C. Bose. A special memorial session on the occasion of S. N. Roy Birth Centenary will also be organised.
